As advocates, The Arc-South Bay believes that all people have the right to pursue a full life, the right to become a productive member of the community in which they live, and the right to share in meaningful daily experiences.
The local Arc works with individual consumers who encounter problems in many areas: legal, medical/dental, programming, abuse, and work-related issues. Members of the Rehabilitation Department of Southwest Industries and the Executive Director are trained in advocacy.
The Arc also provides information on many related services to consumers, their families and the public. If a consumer needs a referral to an ancillary program, the Arc is prepared to do that.
