Welcome to Southwest Industries

Southwest Industries, located in Gardena, is a work activity center accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and licensed by the Department of Rehabilitation. This program is designed to provide adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to earn money, develop work skills, mature socially and prepare for competitive employment. Southwest Industries provides work experience, independent living skills training, basic education and counseling in a habilitation and vocational rehabilitation environment.

A boon for businesses, Southwest Industries provides contract fulfillment without the overhead of workers compensation and associated labor costs. Rehabilitation Services

Work Activity Program

Services: Provides work-skills training in a sheltered work setting for individuals with developmental disabilities so that they can perform meaningful and productive work, ideally in competitive placements in the community.

SWI Supported Employment

Services: Provides training and placement of individuals in competitive jobs and work groups in the community. Also provides ongoing support services within the job experience through situational assessments, job exploration, and personal/social adjustment services.
